Aunt Hattie's Pineapple Cookies

1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup crushed pineapple
4 cups flour
1½ teaspoons baking soda
3 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup nuts

Cream together shortening and sugars. Add eggs and pineapple and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients and add to the mixture, along with vanilla and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheets and bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes.
